Cardinal Services takes great pride in our leadership role within the staffing industry. Our leadership allows us to better assist our business clients to expand their operations and our candidates to build a better quality of life and future.

As the link between employer and employee, it is our mission to provide the best environment for making these connections. We do so by maintaining a staff of the highest level of competence, and by providing them training in the most sophisticated staffing programs available.

Cardinal Services was established in 1994 in Port Clinton, Ohio. We have continued to grow in Northwest Ohio, Florida and Michigan, strategically located where the marketplace has demanded our Human Resource management expertise.

Cardinal Services recognizes the importance of maintaining “Best Practices” in the staffing industry and maintains membership with following staffing organizations:

Biographies

Joan E. Fought

President

Our leader and co-founder is a former Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist and the recipient of the YWCA Woman of the Year Award.

Joan, our President, is a twenty-year veteran of the staffing and recruiting industry. Her dedication and passion have enabled Cardinal to remain a pace-setter in the staffing industry. Cardinal prides itself on new technologies and processes that allow Cardinal to remain on the "cutting-edge." In essence, Cardinal Services, Inc. is a true "hybrid."

Joan's marketing, sales, strategic planning, and training and development techniques are infamous, but the culture that she has developed has been essential to the success of the company. Joan's belief that associates should be recognized and awarded for excellent service to the company is the core of the Cardinal Culture that she endorses and supports. She is driven to incent associates to succeed by passing on leads, joining them in sales calls, and monitoring sales results. Awards and recognition of associates are incorporated into the Cardinal Annual Conference and the Quarterly Meetings. It is not a surprise to see Joan reward associates with automobiles, Rolex watches, and other very special gifts.

Recently, Joan was recognized at a NAPS Annual Conference for her dedication to "employee recognition" programs. Joan continually reinforces that associates come first. This philosophy sets Cardinal apart from their competition.

Customer service and volunteerism are Joan's personal career priorities. Giving back to the community is very rewarding and she enjoys the time that she spends on these activities. Cardinal associates are strongly encouraged to become involved in their communities and to hold leadership roles in these activities. Joan believes strongly that involvement in community activities further develops each Cardinal associate's talents.

Joan has placed thousands of people in need of a career change and has called on over 3,000 area businesses to spread the word about Cardinal's talents, ethics, and reputation. Joan's husband, daughter, and son enjoy family life and a close camaraderie.


Thomas E. Fought

Chief Executive Officer

Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Cardinal Services, Inc. has extensive management and financial experience. Tom's experience spans 25 years in which he has served ten years in management at General Tire, was the President of American Pultrusions, President of Replastec, President and founder of Matthew Thomas Industries, and also T.F. Property Development.

As a visionary, Tom's role has played and integral part of the growth of various divisions of Cardinal Services, Inc. His plan was achieved by designing and implementing "Wings" Cardinal's proprietary software, and by creating an Operations Manual that is the "benchmark" on How to Do Business the Cardinal Way. Tom also oversees all franchise "start-ups," the Recruiting Division, and Cardinal Staff Leasing.

Tom's easy going nature, problem solving skills, ability to forecast economic trends, his vision and his strategic and future planning capabilities have taken Cardinal Services, Inc. to incredible heights through growth and profitability.

Tom has earned his industry certification, Certified Temporary Specialist (CTS), and he is a member of NAPS. Tom along with his son, daughter and wife, Joan, value fun family times.
